A Place To Call My Own

"in the darkest corners of libraries, in the quietest spot on the floor of bookstores, inside a book playing the character of somebody other than me, snuggled between my favorite words and every word you’ve ever uttered to me that speaks of much more than you’ve ever realized, floating around in large cups of tea, inside little bakeries surrounded by sprinkled cupcakes, and chocolate-chip cookies and macarons, in my favorite tshirt, my favorite pair of jeans ripped at the thighs, and my red flats, in between the lyrics of my favorite song so i would never forget them no matter how long it’s been since i’ve last listened to it. inside your heart, inside my own, always wanting more and more than life could afford to give me. but most of all, i just want a place, somewhere that i could call my own."
